FALLING IN LOVE

Hmm!!!, What do I say about falling in love?
I have never understood the meaning until I stumbled upon a random quote on internet by a writer " John Green", which goes like this

"I enjoy writing about people falling in love, probably because I think the first time you fall in love is the first time that you have to figure out how you're going to orient your life. What you are going to value? What's going to be most important to you? And I think that's really interesting to write about"

The first time I read this quote, I really wondered whether people really think in this fashion even today. But than I realized that this is what happens in arranged marriages in our country, where most girls/guys (especially in the marriageable age) fall in love at the very first sight (knowingly/unknowingly). Than comes the time when they both together orient their lives around each other and the family that they are bringing up together, which they tend to value for the rest of their lives. Like the  lives of our grandparents and parents, each one of them have a story to say.

But than I stumbled upon another random quote by unknown "Falling in love is like catching cold...it'll stay for some time even if you try to cure it... it will go away even if you want to keep it.."  This quote also gave me an idea that this is also an alternate reality.

With the advancement of technology, came the time when love and relationships are with the virtual world, more than the person (himself/herself), which are equally short term (craze has a life - very very short life). So even if you want you can't hold on to something that's not real. How bad, So Sad??

So what kind of Love (really???? love, think practical Harshita) am I looking for? was the one question I kept asking myself all my life, the one that stays for a life time or the one that stays and gives me happiness in the present moment.

But than I stumbled upon another random quote " To be in a successful marriage/relationship, you need to fall in love over and over again, often with the same person."

I have always been a traditional person at heart and modern in thoughts, but could never come it to terms with the present outlook of relationships. I have always been a desperate romantic too, who believes in Happy Ending Fairy Tales (were the prince meets the princess and they live happily ever after).

I know that happily ever after may not be there and my story might not even end up as a Fairy Tale, but I know one thing for sure, I would definitely like to say these few words that I out-rightly loved listening and reading to from the Book (now Movie) " The fault in our Stars" by John Green.

I am in Love with you, and I am not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I am in Love with you and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that the oblivion is inevitable that we are all doomed and that there will be a time when all our labor has been returned to dust and I know the sun will swallow."

I am in love with the idea of single soul inhabiting two bodies till the rest of time. And hence, I look forward to saying these stupid, idiotic,  nonsensical words to the love of my life in the near future. (Will I or Will I not is the question??)
